Tino Soriano (Travel Photographer)
"Born and raised in Barcelona, the capital city of Catalonia, Spain, Tino Soriano presently splits his time between photojournalism and travel photography; he is particularly attracted to the world of medicine and has workedfor National Geographic for two decades. Among many other national and international prizes, he is the recipient of honors from the World Health Organization, Academy of Medical Sciences, Lente de Plata, Spanish Photographer of the Year 1995, NikonPro, a World Press Photo Foundation award, and proudly holds four FotoPress prizes. In 2015 Tino was honored with the ""Humanity Photo Gran Award"" from UNESCO. The same year, the Spanish Geographical Society awarded him with the Image Prize for his Lifetime Achievement as a photographer and traveler. For the same concept in 2017, he received thethe National Award ""Piedad Isla,"" one of the most prestigious in Spain, and the National Communication Prize in 2018 (Press category) from the Government of Catalonia."
