I am Mohammad Sazid Hossain. Having studied in commerce at National University, I veered towards professional photojournalism and have been working for newspapers for the last seventeen years, i.e. since 2003. Starting with toying with my father's cameras since childhood I got gradually interested in photography.

Starting with Shangbad, a national daily I got involved with AFP while hopping from one newspaper to another like Focus Bangla -- an online photo agency, The Daily Ittefaque -- a national daily, and presently working for the largest circulating national Daily Prothom Alo since 2010.

Although my preferred area of focus has always been hard and spot news, I covered sports, culture and myriad of other issues with almost equal interest and passion.

I live in Dhaka with my wife and a eight-month-old daughter.
