Country: Germany 🇩🇪

I started wildlife photography in 1999 after I first visitited South Africa. The following years my photographic focus was mainly on the wildlife of my hometown Dortmund, where I started a longterm project in order to show the biodiversity of urban/suburban wildlife and the loss of biodiversity, but also the winners and the loosers of climatic change. I also visited eastern parts of Germany, Finland, Italy, France, USA, Kenya and South Africa quite a few times to find my photographic motives. The main emphasis has always been on the mammals of southern Africa.

I am a pediatric radiologist, married and have got 3 adult children.
