Maria Lawler and her husband Evan are a young couple who have settled in the tiny rural town of Norwood, Missouri. Norwood, and the neighboring town of Mountain Grove, seem frozen in time. Murphy's Barber Shop on the Mountain Grove square has been open for 100 years, through generations of Murphys who have cut the hair of generations of Mountain Grove residents. Maria and Evan revel in the small town life, where both of them are hunters and realtors who sell hunting properties.
