Angel is a natural history photographer with an academic background in Marine Sciences, who has committed his life to advocate for the aquatic environment.
Since the late 80 ́s his work has served clients the standing of UNESCO, Netflix, National Geographic Magazine main edition, Smithsonian Magazine, and GEO Magazine.
Besides his own production, he often works as stills photographer, and natural history consultant for leading broadcasting companies the standing of SilverBack Films, and BBC Natural History Unit.
His images have been awarded at World Press Photo, NHM Wildlife Photographer of the Year, GDT European Wildlife Photographer of the Year, AI-AP American Photography, and Sony World Photography, among others.
In 2021 he was named European Willdlife Photographer of the Year by the German Society of Nature Photographers (GDT). In 2025 The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation granted him the Environmental Photography Award. In 2021 Forbes Magazine ranked him 7th out the the 50 most awarded spaniards.
Fitor has been speaker at WildPhotos, and jury member for multiple photo competitions including the NHM Wildlife Photographer of the Year, and GDT European Wildlife Photographer of the Year.
