I was born and raised in the dream of the conquest of the Moon and so, in addition to following the evolution of information technology which has then become my main activity, the desire to travel has pushed me, since I was a boy, to move to many parts of the planet , accompanied by my passion for photography and for the image in all its forms. After taking the first diving licenses, in the 90s I bought the first underwater camera, the legendary Nikonos III, to be able to tell what my eyes, full of wonder, observed during the dives carried out in the seas and oceans of the whole world. Over time I continued to attend countless diving courses until I obtained the TEC 50, convinced that improving the technical side of diving was a fundamental component for the success of a good photo shoot. I am not a marine biologist, so my first goal was not to create a catalog of species, but to create images that would excite and show the beauties of the marine world to a wider audience. My approach to underwater photography has brought me, over the years, small and great personal satisfactions: from the victory of numerous international competitions, to the exhibition of photographs in extraordinary places such as the United Nations building in New York and the headquarters of Banca Popolare in Milan, until the publication of my shots in prestigious magazines such as Asian Diver, Asian Geographic, National Geographic USA, Unterwasser, Scuba Diving, Lonely Planet, Mare Magazine. In 2018 I obtained the "Best Picture of the Year" award in the richest competition in the world dedicated to underwater photography, the "World Shootout" which has been taking place for more than 17 years with the award ceremony at the Boot in Dusseldorf and, in the same year, I won the Wildlife Photographer of the Year event organized by Asian Geographic. Among other numerous awards, more or less prestigious in 2021, I was among the winners of the "Nature Photographer of the Year" organized by Australian Geographic and the "Best of the Show" by Deep Visions. Not content with showing only the images, over the years I have collaborated with numerous trade magazines such as Scubashooters, Scubazone and others of great circulation such as National Geographic to describe and illustrate the many wonders of our Oceans, but also the many problems related to coexistence with the human race. For about a year I have had a bi-weekly underwater photography column on HuffingtonPost Italia.
