I am an American photojournalist based in Bangkok and USA covering Ukraine, specializing in the Asian region with over three decades of years of experience covering many dramatic historical changes, along with geopolitical turmoil. I focus on under-reported stories that deal with the human, economic and political issues exposing the silent victims of conflict. My award winning book, Afghanistan: Between Hope & Fear is certainly is one of my significant career achievements looking at the country for most of the 18 years of an endless war. My work in conflict zones like Afghanistan has taught me to be a dedicated humanitarian photographer, provoking change and raising awareness. Given the topics that I choose to cover it often takes courage, commitment, and dedication working in physically demanding conditions.
