Bob Pat­ter­son is founder and pub­lish­er of Street Pho­tog­ra­phy Mag­a­zine. He developed a love for pho­tog­ra­phy through his fas­ci­na­tion with the black and white pho­tos in Life and Look mag­a­zines as a child.
He be­gan mak­ing pho­tographs at the age of 10 with the fam­i­ly Brown­ie cam­era, de­vel­op­ing film and print­ing pho­tos in a makeshift base­ment dark­room.
Af­ter a long ca­reer as an ex­ec­u­tive in the ca­ble tele­vi­sion in­dus­try, he found­ed Street Pho­tog­ra­phy Mag­a­zine in 2013. His mis­sion is to cre­ate a digi­tal plat­form that gives street and doc­u­men­tary pho­tog­ra­phers the abil­i­ty to show­case their work and share their vi­sion with a world­wide au­di­ence.
As a pho­tog­ra­ph­er, Bob en­joys doc­u­ment­ing life on the streets and the sto­ries of peo­ple in his lo­cal com­mu­ni­ty and places the where he trav­els. He is also a life-long mar­tial artist, avid trav­el­er and cu­ri­ous to a fault.
