Barbara Dall'angelo

Country: Italy 🇮🇹

“Photography is my way of seeing the world, it is what drives me to look with new eyes. Through photography I discover whatever captures my soul the most: simplicity, the ultimate sophistication.”
She grew up in Rome, in a family of professional television producers, and has made of communicating through images her lifestyle. After her studies in Literature and Philosophy at University, she graduated in Film Direction at Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome. In 1998 she founded her own Film and TV Distribution Company, Dall’Angelo Pictures, which brought and still bring her to outstanding professional achievements.
In 2011 she returned to devoting herself to photography, one of her youth passions. Over the last few years she received many awards in the most important International Nature Photography Competitions and her pictures are often published in popular Travel and Nature magazines. Since 2012 she has actively collaborated with National Geographic Italia where she has published, so far, more than 30 reportages.
In 2015 she released her first book, Fotografia senza confini (Editrice Reflex), a handbook on how to take photographs at all latitudes.
In 2016 she obtained great audience attention and wide critical consensus with her first solo exhibition The Poetry of Earth, patronized by National Geographic Italia. In the same year, with Electa Mondadori, she published a photography book under the same title. The work brings together more than 100 shots taken in the most remote places of our planet.
From 2017 her pictures and works are often exhibited throughout the world and are present in art galleries and private collections.
