Subhran Karmakar is a Street Photographer, based in India. His tryst with this genre of Art began in 2019. To him, photography is all about expressing his perspective of the world around him and capturing snippets of everyday drama by adding an essence of his feelings and emotions. The pursuit of new visual stories have taken him to many places across his country, making him an avid traveler as well. He has also made a mark as an artist in the NFT community, by selling some of his masterpieces as digital tokens in marketplaces such as Opensea, Objkt, Foundation, and Sloika. His works have been published globally across various media and publications such as Nat Geo Yourshot, The Guardian, Eyeshot, etc. Many of his works have also been selected for exhibitions in several countries as a part of Street Photography Festivals and contests like the Miami Street Photo Festival, Italian Street Photo Festival, Urban Photo Awards, Fujifilm Moment, and more. He was also awarded “Photographer of the year” in the Street Photography category of the Indian Photo Fest IPOY awards 2022.
