Mohammad Shahnewaz Khan is a Documentary Photographer, Educator, Founder Director of VOHH Photography Institute, VOHH Foundation & VOHH FOTO FEST in Chittagong, Bangladesh. He took photography as his profession since 2004 & has been working as a freelance photojournalist for more than a decade. He has worked for: Majority World Photo Agency, World Bank-IFC, Washington Post, UNICEF, DRIK, Al Mayadeen TV, Makmende Media, Sputnik, Al Jazeera, Publico, CNN, GAIN, BRAC, DrikNEWS, Sunday Times, FotoEvidence Press, The Global News, Alexia Foundation etc.

Shahnewaz has won 500 international awards in the field of photojournalism & Documentary, like; UNICEF POY, Ian Parry Scholarship, Alexia Grant, IPA, Stenin Press Award, Siena Awards, BIFA, TIFA, Photoshare, Al Mayadeen TV award, Environmental Photographer of the Year, Felix-schoeller, Lucie Scholarship, IPOTY, Sony World Photography Awards, Asian Press Photo Award. His reportage, research, stories & long-term projects are regularly used in various studies & research of college-university students, even; intellectuals, PhD researchers, University Professors, Writers & Sociologists are regularly using Shahnawaz's works. After passing 'Higher Secondary School Certificate' in science, he successfully Completed "Diploma in Photography", "Professional degree course" and also completed dozens of International Mentorship and Masterclass in the field of photojournalism and documentary photography, including; more than 200 workshops. In the year 2015, he received a scholarship from Syracuse University, USA. His work focuses on Social Issues, Minorities, Disadvantaged Communities, Migration, Climate Change and environment etc. Having dreamed in his youth of becoming a writer, photography instead managed to become his muse and mode of expression. In his words: "I always want to know about people, their life, their culture and their fight to survive. I believe photography is such a great option for telling the truth to change the world. I believe that it is important to be a good human being before one can become a good photographer… I never take pictures of people for whom I do not have respect and love in my heart."
