Murat Şengül was born in Ordu in 1987. He graduated from Marmara University, Faculty of Journalism. He started his photojournalism career in 2009. He has followed national and international developments until today. He photographed the Van earthquake, Gezi Park protests, the massive earthquake in Turkey where 53 thousand people lost their lives and Israel's attacks on Lebanon. He has received numerous international and national awards. Most of his work has been published in major newspapers and magazines around the world. For the last 2 years, he has been working as a permanent photojournalist at Anadolu Agency.
