Sarah Gilbert joined the Guardian after a successful career as a freelance picture editor for numerous newspapers, magazines and book publishers, including three years at Conde Nast's Tatler magazine. As Features Picture Editor she had responsibility for the print and online versions of various sections including G2, Family, Do Something and the Guardian's bi-annual The Fashion magazine and also did a stint at Weekend magazine.
She has been a judge at various in-house photography competitions at the Guardian and was Chair of the Judges at the Terry O'Neill Awards in 2014.
She is currently the Picture Editor for the Guardian US based in New York.
