Stefano Rosselli

Country: Italy 🇮🇹

Stefano Rosselli was born in Livorno and grew up in Piombino, a small industrial town along the Tuscan coast. At the age of twenty, he began his career as a satirical illustrator for various humor magazines. In 1989, he moved to Milan to pursue a career in advertising, working first as a creative and later as a creative director for international agencies such as Saatchi & Saatchi and Leagas Delaney. During these years, he collaborated with masters of photography like Peter Lindbergh and Gian Paolo Barbieri, as well as world-renowned filmmakers. His experience in the world of visual communication led him to fully understand the power of visual synthesis: the ability to tell a complex story within a single frame. Alongside his career in commercial communication, he developed a personal photographic practice, driven by the need to counter the glossy, aspirational world of advertising with a more authentic gaze on reality. His work springs from a keen observation of the world around us and a constant curiosity for the 'human comedy,' transforming ordinary scenes into images that reveal, with lightness and intelligence, the complexity of the human experience.
