Country: Spain 🇪🇸
My name is Julio Castro, and I'm a professional landscape photographer from La Coruña, Spain. I've always had a passion for nature, hiking, and especially astronomy, which has fostered my passion for night photography.
My foray into the world of photography didn't come until 2015, following a trip to the West Coast of the United States where I was amazed by the landscapes I saw. Seeing that the photos I had taken didn't reflect what I had experienced and felt during the trip, I decided to delve into the world of photography.
After taking several courses and learning from some of the greatest landscape photography masters in Spain, I currently travel around the world to take photographs that showcase the full beauty of our planet.
My photos have won awards in over 200 competitions, including some of the world's leading photography events, such as the Sony World Photography Awards, Siena International Photo Awards, International Photo Awards, Trierenberg Super Circuit, Epson Pano Awards, María Luisa Memorial, and many others.
My photos have also been published in magazines and media outlets around the world, such as Nocturno Photographer Magazine, Phot Magazine, La Mirada de los Fotógrafos Magazine, Super Foto Digital Magazine, 1x Gallery, Petapixel, Forbes, Xataka Foto, and many others.
In 2017, I joined the team at www.viajesfotograficos.com as a photography guide and instructor, a job I currently combine with teaching both in-person and online courses on photography processing and techniques.
