Country: India 🇮🇳
I am Aneesh Sankarankutty. I would consider myself as an elephant photographer rather than a wildlife photographer. I am a native of Palakkad, a district in the South Indian state of Kerala where elephants are an integral part of the culture. Seeing them from my childhood persuaded me to photograph their wild counterparts. My area of work is more focused than diversified. This focused approach has helped me in capturing some of the key moments in their life. These photographs have to an extent helped in identifying the problems, creating awareness among public and providing solutions to issues related to Human-Elephant interactions. The same approach has also fetched me some international awards.
Going forward I would like to study more about the elephants and capture moments that will help in the survival of these gentle giants as well as the people living around them.
