Clive Brunskill's passion for photography began at the age of 13, when he started taking pictures at the local skate parks and football matches. His career in sports photography officially began in 1982, after graduating from Southport College of Art and Design in England, when, in 1993, he became a photographer with Allsport, now part of Getty Images.
As a sports photographer with a proven pedigree in capturing the world's most significant sporting events, Clive has covered 8 Summer Olympic Games, 5 Winter Olympic Games, 5 FIFA World Cup Finals, 3 UEFA Championships and over 100 Grand Slam tennis events. His work has been published in major publications in over 50 countries, including Time Magazine and Sports Illustrated, in addition to many of the world's leading international newspapers.
Since 1997, Clive has taken his skills and expertise in shooting sports personalities to the world of commercial advertising and has been commissioned to shoot a number of high profile advertising campaigns for major global brands, including Pepsi-Cola who he has worked with for over eighteen years; other clients include Pepsi Adidas, Guinness, Puma, Gillette; Nike, American Express and Gatorade.
Clive has also been commissioned to shoot some of the world's biggest global sports figures and stars, including David Beckham; Lionel Messi; Fernando Torres; Andre Agassi; Roger Federer; Beyonce; Britney Spears; Pink; Jennifer Lopez; Eva Longoria and Hugh Jackman.
Clive thrives under pressure and the challenge of producing compelling imagery within restrictive deadlines. His work demonstrates his ability to shoot from a different angle and his established rapport with many of the world's top sporting figures, along with numerous long-standing relationships with clients, has enabled Clive to become a leading commercial sports photographer.
Clive has won numerous awards, including 'International Tennis Photographer of the Year' on three occasions. Winner of the Rolex Wimbledon Photograph of the Championships He is also a winner of the 1996 SJA 'UK Sports Photographer of the Year' and Sports Picture of the Year and highly commended on three other occasions also winner of the Nikon Uk Sports Photographer of the Year, Kodak Sports Photographer of the Year and has been highly commended in the World Press Photo Awards.
