Andrea Borgarello holds a diploma in photography at the Washington School of Photography. In 2002, he received a Ph.D. and 2 masters in Development Economics. Then, he completed his education by attending the workshops with Mary Ellen Mark and Bruce Gilden. Today, he matured more than 10 years of work experience in the field of photography with international organizations such as the International Organization for Migration, the World Bank, the African Development Bank, the Italian Government, UNHCR (3-years roster program) and with various private foundations and NGOs, such as the Cartier Philanthropy. He published in various magazines (DAYSJapan, GEO France, L'EUROPEO, TerraMater, The Other Hundred, AAP Magazine) and collaborated to various books.
