Born in Berlin as son of Korean guest workers, O-Young Kwon was late to realise the power of photography, which gave him a whole new perspective on everyday life. After completing his socio-economic studies, he finally devoted himself fully to his passion and discovered documentary photography as a tool that allowed him to immerse himself in unknown subcultures. Driven by strict ethical principles, he has always met socio-political challenges of our time respectfully and with a clear stance. In this way, he wants to contribute to breaking down prejudices and always advocates an empathetic approach in society.
