Photography is a tool for understanding and discovering.
Willingness to document the human condition and convey strong emotions is always in the center of his photography. For years, he reported armed conflicts and their consequences in Lebanon, Iraq, Afghanistan, South Sudan, Georgia, and Ukraine. Between 2011–15 he was chief of photographers and the official photographer of the President of the Republic of Poland. His work was awarded in competitions such as World Press Photo, Visa D'Or, NPPA, Sony World Photography Awards, Grand Press Photo, and many others. He is an author of the Picture of the Year (2009) and Picture of the Decade (2014) in BZWBK Press Photo competition and Picture of the Year in Grand Press Photo (2022, 2023). In his career, he has regularly been a jury member and head of the jury in International and Polish photography competitions.
He is a scholar of the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and a member of the Association of Polish Artists Photographers.
