Eladio Fernández is an Associate Fellow with the International League of Conservation Photographers (iLCP), a filmmaker, and a researcher from the Dominican Republic. He is the author of 9 photography books covering a variety of topics that range from the natural heritage of Cuba to the metamorphosis of the native butterflies of the Dominican Republic.
Throughout 25 years he has accumulated one of the largest image banks of flora, fauna, and landscapes of the Greater Antilles. His photography also documents disappearing cultural traditions from the Caribbean islands. Eladio is also on the boards of Fondo Peregrino RD, Fundación Progressio, and Fundación Grupo Punta Cana. In 2021, Eladio became an Associate Researcher with the Jardin Botanico Nacional Dr. Rafael Maria Moscoso in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
