Suliman started taking photos underwater at the age of 15. Today, as a scuba diving and underwater photography instructor, he regularly consults on and contributes to marine projects. Recently he served as the production editor for “Kuwait Under the Blue: Exploring Marine Life Habitats” (2025) published by the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research.

Suliman has won numerous international awards. In the National Wildlife Federation’s 52nd annual photo contest, he became the first person to win in two categories for the same year (1st in Birds and 2nd in People in Nature). In the Ocean Art 12th annual photo competition, he became the first to win two categories (Portrait and Wide Angle) including the Best-in-Show distinction for the same year. Other distinctions include Dive Photo Guide 2023 Grand Prize winner and Underwater Photographer of the Year 2023 Portrait category winner. His work has been featured in global media outlets including CNN, BBC, The Guardian Saturday, DP Review and the National Wildlife Magazine.
