Bernhard Schubert studied zoology and works as a professional nature photographer. His scientifically based knowledge of fauna and flora helps him to implement his visions in nature photography. Bernhard feels comfortable in every area of nature photography, whether it’s with drone, underwater, camera trapping, wildlife, macro or landscape. Anything that helps him to depict nature in all its many facets also awakens his interest in recording techniques. Therefor he strives taking photos with an unusual, interesting perspective or creative approach, which thrills and inspires the audience and let them think about the subject and the technique behind. Bernhard has been internationally recognized with several prestigious awards in photography competitions such as the “NHM Wildlife Photographer of the Year” or the “European Wildlife Photographer of the Year”. In search of his photo motifs, Bernhard is drawn primarily to the tropics, the Mediterranean and parts of his homeland where he always prefers areas that are as untouched as possible.
