Bradley Kanaris is a professional photographer and videographer based in Brisbane, Australia. He is the son of immigrant parents with his father coming from the small Greek Island of Leros and his mother from Birmingham, England.
Bradley’s passion for photography is as relentless as it is true and after 25 years in the industry that passion is as strong today as it was when he first fell in love with photography. Bradley found a love for the art and craft of photography at the age of 15 when he participated in a two-week work experience venture as part of his Year 10 High School studies.
After leaving school he went on to work in other industries as well as working in a professional photo lab, whilst at the same time keeping a keen eye and interest on photography. At the age of 23 he decided to start on the journey of fulfilling a career in professional photography and enrolled into a two-year full-time Diploma of Photography course at a College at the Sunshine Coast in Australia.
After completing his Diploma of Photography in December of 1997 he went on to work under different photographers in different genres of photography from Commercial & Corporate work through to Portraiture, Photojournalism, and Sport. Working with different photographers from different genres early on in his career became an advantage giving Bradley the diversity of skills he benefits from today.
Wind the clock forward to today and Bradley is an accomplished and highly skilled freelance photographer and videographer who works in commercial, portraiture, photojournalism, and sport. In his spare time, he loves to shoot creative landscapes & travel photography.
Bradley now boasts having worked with the biggest and best photo agencies in the world and has worked for some of the biggest corporate and sporting name brands on the planet.
Amongst Bradley’s diverse portfolio of work, you will see everything from coverage of the Tokyo Olympics, World Cups and World Championships in numerous sports as well as major news & political events, portraits of famous sports stars and entertainment figures and corporate work providing commercial services to businesses both local and international.
Bradley believes that with the fast-moving pace of our industry and with the rapid pace of the technology that we need to protect its integrity and authenticity.
Bradley loves to use the light to create drama in his images when the opportunity arises and feels that an image should create a mood and feeling to its viewers, giving the image itself its own life and personality, a moment in time frozen, a memory now endless.
