Shunsuke Nakano is a Tokyo-based underwater and wildlife photographer. He documents animal behavior and ecology in Japan’s temperate seas, with long-term work around Sado Island and the Pacific coast near Tokyo. His images have been recognized internationally, including winning Underwater Photographer of the Year 2026 (Black & White) and UPY 2025 (Behaviour). Through his photography, he aims to share the wonder and fragility of marine life.
