Fabio Savini, born in 1981 in Cesena (FC), has had a lifelong fascination with animals and nature, which led him to develop a passion for nature photography. His focus has been on the fauna of the National Park of the Casentino Forests, Mount Falterona, and Campigna, particularly specializing in amphibians and reptiles. His work has been featured in various publications, including "Italian Vipers: the latest studies on Systematics, Ecology and Natural History" (2017), "Amphibians of Europe, North Africa & the Middle East" (2019), and "On the Shoulders of the Giants" (2019).
Fabio has also participated in and won prizes in several photography competitions, including Lights and Colors in the Park (2015), Oasis Photo Contest (2017), Postcards from the Park (2019), Asferico Photo Contest (2022), and Magical Nature Photo Contest (2022). He has traveled extensively to countries like Japan, Cuba, Morocco, the United States, and throughout Europe to capture wildlife through his lens.
In 2019, Fabio held his first solo photography exhibition titled "Viaggio nel Sottobosco" at the Museum of Ecology in Cesena, showcasing his captivating images of amphibians and reptiles in the Casentino Forests, Monte Falterona, and Campigna National Park. He has been collaborating with the National Park of the Casentino Forests, Mount Falterona, and Campigna for several years.
