Filippo Carugati

Country: Italy 🇮🇹

The interest for the animal world has always been twofold for Filippo. On the one hand, scientific curiosity has driven him towards a career in research. In fact, he is currently a PhD student in Biological Sciences and Applied Biotechnology at the University of Turin, where he has been studying facial and acoustic communication in different primate species for over 4 years. On the other hand, he has always wanted to have a more personal and subjective relationship in the narration of the natural world, mediated by nature photography. A Photographer from an early age, he has ranged over a wide range of subjects, habitats and photographic techniques. His images have won awards in numerous photography competitions, including Wildlife Photographer of the Year, Asferico, GDT, European Photographer of the Year, Montphoto, Biophotocontest.
