Emin Sansar

Emin was born in 1987 in Türkiye. After graduating from the Faculty of Communication, Department of Public Relations at Akdeniz University, he began his photography career in 2011. He currently works as a photojournalist at Anadolu Agency (AA), a global news agency delivering news worldwide in 13 different languages. He covers a wide range of categories, including politics, war, sports, and breaking news.
He followed the Syrian Civil War from beginning to end and reported on the Russia-Ukraine War. He was on duty during the 2023 Turkey-Syria earthquakes, which struck on February 6, 2023, with epicenters in the Pazarcık and Elbistan districts of Kahramanmaraş, affecting 11 provinces with magnitudes of 7.7 and 7.6. He also covered UEFA Euro 2024.
His work has been published in TIME, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Der Spiegel, The Times, Paris Match, The Guardian, and The Telegraph.
Having received national and international awards, Emin continues his career in photojournalism in Ankara.
