Matan Golan (b. 1988) is an Israeli freelance photojournalist and reporter.
She graduated M.A. studies in IPSD (International Planning & Sustainable Development) in Urban Resilience (DRR) and environmental policies pathway from the University of Westminster in London with distinction. With a thesis in the field of geopolitics, her journalistic work starting 2021 focuses on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and Israeli social issues - from breaking news photography to investigative articles and long-term projects.
A frequent contributor to Sipa USA & SOPA photo agencies, her work has been published in leading publications. Following 7th October she worked with reporter Rob Vreeken for 'De Volkskrant' newspaper as a stringer - photographer, delivering stories for print daily for serval weeks. Their production had won the 'First Line reporting' category at 'De Tegel' prestigious Dutch journalism prize.
