Thibault Gerbaldi is an award-winning, self-taught French-American Leica photographer based in Miami, whose work explores the relationship between people, place, and culture across some of the world’s most remote and diverse environments. Moving between documentary, travel, and portrait photography, he seeks images that combine visual strength with human depth.
His work has received international recognition, notably First Prize at the Siena Awards 2025, First Prize at the International Photography Awards in 2025 and 2026, selection for the IPA 2026 Best of Show exhibition, and the Rising Talent Award at Travel Photographer of the Year. In 2025, three of his photographs were selected for Around the World with Leica, the centenary exhibition held at Leica’s headquarters in Wetzlar.
In 2026, he was selected by the French Senate to present Fragilités & Résiliences, a four-month solo outdoor exhibition featuring 80 photographs displayed on the gates of the Jardin du Luxembourg in Paris.
His photographs have been published in Leica Fotografie International, All About Photo, Digital Camera, Vanity Fair, Food & Travel, and many other media outlets.
Alongside his photographic practice, he supports humanitarian initiatives through projects connected to the distribution of his books and prints, outside a commercial framework.
