Arne grew up in a small village near the North Sea in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. After completing his education, he pursued studies in photo engineering, which led to roles in photo departments at renowned publications such as Kölner Express, Gala, Stern, and Focus.
In 2012, Arne embarked on an ambitious venture, co-founding and publishing a news magazine in Cambodia alongside a friend. This period was transformative, involving a diverse range of activities from photography and overseeing printing proofs to engaging in ambassadorial meetings and even conducting a home story at the private residence of Cambodian ruler Hun Sen. During this time, they successfully published the Southeast Asia Globe and other regional magazines, while also organizing trade fairs, the Cambodian Oktoberfest, and various other events.
After seven years in Southeast Asia, Arne returned to Germany. Following a series of roles, he is now back with Focus, this time based in Berlin.
