Kelly Conlin

Country: United States 🇺🇸

Kelly Conlin began photographing as a teenager, when he borrowed his father's Kodak Retinette, built a basement dark room and started a small photography business. He began his career as a journalist, then transitioned to the business side of international magazine publishing. The work carried him across continents, but the camera gave way to a briefcase, and the world passed by in a blur of taxis, terminals, and meeting rooms. In recent years, he has returned to photography to move through the world more slowly and deliberately. His images search for atmosphere, movement, and the quiet dramas that reveal the character of a place.

Over the last two years, his work has been honored in several competitions, including the International Photography Awards (IPA), the Prix de la Photographie Paris (PX3), the ND Awards, PISPA, Monovision, and the FotoNostrum Magazine Awards. His work has also been included in group exhibitions in the United States and Europe.
