Sofia Viegas, grew up connected to nature and animals in the interior of Portugal, but the ocean was always calling to her louder, amazed by every essence of it - the colors, smells, textures and life within it, showing a tremendous curiosity about the marine mammals and their enigmatic behaviours.

The possibility of eternally recording memories of the magnificent things her eyes could see in this magical environment, sparked her passion for the underwater photography and videography.

“Photography and marine expeditions for me, have become much more than mere experiences. I constantly seek meaningful adventures, the curiosity of the unknown and the urgency to protect this world."

The task is huge, but by sharing what she loves, she hopes others can also fell connected to this wonderful yet fragile world.
