France is a photographer from Quebec, Canada, who is now living in Chicago. She spent many years in academia trying to understand why people behave like they do. This curiosity is reflected in her images, which she describes as “life photography.” She aims to capture beautiful moments showing how people live, play, eat, dress, interact, celebrate, pray, love…She primarily does documentary photography, but lately, she has turned her camera to the streets, where so much of life is happening.
Her images have now been shown in numerous curated exhibitions and have won prestigious awards. Most recently, her images won 3rd place at the Lens Culture Street Photography Award in 2023, and two of her series were included in the Curated Selection “State of the World” at the Prix de la Photographie, Paris, in 2023. Her work has been featured in Geo Magazine, Dodho Magazine, Lens Magazine, and All About Photo.
