The Ramnami of Chhattisgarh were originally Dalits who rejected their caste and adopted a devotional path. The followers of Ramnami Samaj do not believe in worshipping idols.They generally chant the name of their God Ram and often tattoo the name over their body. In rare cases, the tattoo is done over entire body.
