Maha Shivaratri is a Hindu festival celebrated annually in honour of the god Shiva. Worshippers from all over India and Nepal gather at the Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu to celebrate the holy night (Night of Shiva). Color is integral in hinduism and thus the symbolic ritual makeup on the faces of Holy men and pilgrims. This photo was taken in February of 2017 of an Indian pilgrim arriving to the temple after a long trip.
