In Mekhliganj the river Teesta enters Bangladesh. Local resident Sankar Rabidas is a cobbler by profession, and fishing is his hobby. He is preparing for night fishing, with kerosene lamps, nets and torchlight. Most of the fishermen roam the river the whole night looking for fish during the post-monsoon period.
