In Hanoi, dogs are regularly consumed for cultural or purported health reasons. The animals are either farmed, rounded up from the streets, or stolen from outside peoples’ homes, before they are transported to markets to be butchered. The dogs in this cage, after having watched their companions being inhumanly killed, are waiting for their moment to come.
