Wind whips embers from a burning tree in a wildfire know as Fairview Fire. The fire ignited on September 5, 2022, during a severe heatwave that was plaguing much of the southwest. Due to the extreme weather conditions, it grew to a deadly and destructive conflagration in the chaparral-filled foothills within just several hours of igniting.
