An Indirana—a genus of small, slender-bodied frogs, endemic to the Western Ghats in India, commonly known as ‘Indian frogs’—rests peacefully on a bracket fungus, whose tough, woody structure provides a natural perch for the animal. A storm of mushroom spores illuminates the scene as a flash of light bursts from behind the mushroom, creating shimmering reflections.
