It is a magic experience to spend hours playing with young sea lions in the colony of Isla Espiritu Santo. The sea lions seem to take as much pleasure as us in having new playmates. This sea lion suddenly picked up a sea star and started throwing it in mid water and to then catch it over and over. He would then swim in front of us with the sea star in his mouth, a proud display of his catching skills.
