A large egg clutch, approximately 20-30 centimeters in size, likely laid by a Guibemantis liber frog, spotted in the rainforests of Maromizaha, in northeastern Madagascar—a protected area in 2015 to preserve its extraordinary biodiversity. This species is endemic to the region, inhabiting subtropical and tropical forest environments, and is threatened by the loss of its natural habitat. The egg clutch was hanging from a small trunk near a pond, and, inside, several tadpoles swam peacefully through the gelatinous substance that primarily made up the structure.
